BINET JAZZ

Binet Jazz Plage is organised by the association Le Petit Ney. This one-day festival brings together local people from Paris 18th arrondissement to share an outdoor picnic and listen to live music. The poster reflects the warm and friendly atmosphere of the event attended by families, friends and neighbours alike. With its blue background reminiscent of a clear summer sky and its bubble-shaped black and white photos, the bill conveys a laidback and relaxed atmopshere. The photomontage represents a significant moment in history when paid leave was first introduced in the French labour law. The three semicircular shapes interlocked around the photomontage make for a dynamic graphic composition, one which reminds us that luncheon on the grass can be a very convivial outing.
