Travelling through the Middle Ages

The medieval Cluny Museum of Paris is hosting a joint exhibition together with the Réunion des Musée Nationaux : 'Travelling through the Middle Ages' is an invitation for the visitor to travel through time and space. With this collection of artefacts and records from merchants, pilgrims, princes or artists, the visitor discovers what travelling in the medieval era entailed. Studio LWA designed the poster, kakemono and banners for this exhibition, making sure that the graphic composition reflected the mission of the museum - who always seeks to create a link between medieval history and present-day civilization. Thus the composition of the communication material shows a fragment of a 15th century painting alongside other resolutely modern graphic elements (a contemporary typeface in bright red, a bare and simple composition, silhouetted castle ramparts.)
