CARGO RAIL EXPRESS

Today the extension of a European high-speed railway freight network goes hand-in-hand with the ongoing assessment of carbon footprint. Euro Carex's (Cargo-Rail-Express) network includes Amsterdam, Liège, London, Lyon, Roissy and Germany ; it brings together both public and private organisations such as local authorities, airport and railway infrastructure managing bodies and some of the major players in the air cargo industry. On 20th and 21st March, 2012, the members of the corporation organised a test in real-life circumstances, transporting goods from Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport, via Paris Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport to London Saint Pancras railway station. Three camera crews were needed to shoot the film of the event, eventually released on DVD. Studio LWA produced the film and designed the packaging of the DVD.
