With this short animation film in chronophotographic style, LWA wanted to pay tribute to the mission of 'Sauvons la recherche' ('Save research'). In the film, a life jacket unfolds and inflates, then a dummy wearing a bowler-hat pops up through the life-saving device. The aim of the organisation is to share a well-informed and substantiated opinion on research and higher education issues, as well as review political proposals when they are an alternative to governmental schemes. The leaders of the organisation are Julien Brossard, Olivier Gandrillon and Anne Saada. The project led by LWA is an illustration of how experimental videomaking can serve the public debate.
