ORLY FIRE RESCUE

When Aéroports de Paris decided to build a new station for Orly fire brigade, the ambitious building project called for a new visual identity. The traditional fireman's outfit is represented by a helmet, alongside an air control tower and a firetruck propelling a plane with its water hose : the world of airports and the world of firemen are brought together in the design of the logo. Designed in the style of coat-of-arms, the logo also features a wreath of laurels as a symbol of the bravery often displayed by the Fire Rescue team. The signage uses the Frutiger typeface in its composition. The new visual identity comes in different colours. It was 'tested' in a real-life environment via a 3D simulation of the future fire station.
